'Walter' Rolling Brass Perpetual Calendar
Perpetual rolling desk calendars such as this one were popular from the Art Deco era onwards. However, this particular piece is from the 1950's and was manufactured by Gwenda Works in Birmingham, England. This perpetual calendar has so much charm with its elegant cylindrical shape. The brass has aged nicely with a lovely patina to the surface. The rolling function works well with no missing month or date cards, although some of them have minor discolouration as shown in the photos.
This item is an elegant and functional piece of history that would look so handsome on a desk or bookshelf. The textured look of the brass and the history of the piece is sure to add warmth and intrigue to any space.
